In-Person Lessons

In-person lessons are conducted at the Baker Studio on Manhattan’s Upper West Side.


In-Person Monthly Fee

  • 1 hour lesson - $480 per month

  • 45-minute lesson - $360 per month

  • 30-minute lesson - $300 per month

Online Lessons

If Online Lessons are the more practical option for you, they will take place via Farplay, and I'll help you set it up. You don’t need to have any extra cameras or gear to set up; your smartphone or laptop will be sufficient.

Online Lesson Monthly Fee

  • 1 hour - $400 per month

  • 45-minutes - $300 per month

  • 30-minutes - $240 per month

Drop-In Lesson 1 hour @ $120

Drop-in Sessions are 60-minute lessons to troubleshoot and resolve any technical challenges you’ve encountered. Expressive musical possibilities are offered. These sessions are available to students who have completed a Discovery Session.

Discovery Session

60-minute session @ $100

We start with a 45-minute Discovery Session to see whether this is the right fit for you. At this time, you will receive a full lesson with the opportunity to express your musical goals, have your questions answered, and learn what to expect from ongoing lessons.

BAKER PIANO STUDIO POLICY

1.  The semester fee will be charged to the credit card on file for the amounts previously agreed to. Advance email notice will be sent prior to any charges. 

2. Students are required to attend one lesson per week, except for national holidays or days of religious observance.

3.  Student requests for rescheduling or cancellation require at least 24 hours' notice, including for health reasons. Lessons can be rescheduled twice per semester. If no studio time is available for rescheduling and the student cannot attend, the fee is forfeited, including for health reasons.

4. The Baker Piano Studio is unable to provide refunds due to student requests or changes.

5. There is no transfer of any portion of tuition from one month to another, or from one semester to another.

6. All requests for schedule change or cancellation must be made in writing. 

7.  A 30-day advance notice in writing is required when ending weekly lessons. 

8. If a student leaves a day/hour time slot unattended for more than two weeks, that time may be offered to another student.

9. All students under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a guardian or parent. 

10. The Baker Piano Studio is not liable for any personal belongings, loss, injury, claim, or damages that may arise.
